Guys. This commentary is no use. I don't think they even look at this. Email or write a letter to your MP. They have access to your appilcation and can tell you why your application is not being processed. At the same time, write your letters to members of the standing committee of citizenship and immigration. Not that it is going to change your status but at least let's increase some awareness of what IRCC has put us into.

Soumis par PeeGie, Lim le mar 30/06/2020 - 19:36

Hi Agent,

I hope you have a great day.

This is PeeGie Lim regarding my open work permit application. I submitted my application on Jan 4, 2020.
I would like to check if further docs are required from my end or any issues with the application that requires my attention?

I tried calling IRCC many times and I was unable to get hold of any agents.

The other students who submitted the application in May 2020 have received the approval in two weeks.

I am getting very worried about it as it has been passed 179 days and I received no updates from IRCC.

I appreciate your kind response on this.

Yours Sincerely,

Soumis par Kud S le mar 30/06/2020 - 18:44

Thought I'd share my experience with you. I received a COPR last week. It's good to know that IRCC is still processing applications, although it seems that they are much slower now due to the pandemic.
FYI, I applied almost a year ago through express entry CEC and I'm currently working in Canada.
It was pretty frustrating to experience the delays especially since my temporary work permit was due to expire soon. I realize many of you are in a similar situation having to deal with many uncertainties. I hope that all of your applications get processed soon.

Anyone has applied to PR through quebec skilled worker program canada? Have you received the acknowledge letter from.immigration with your file number? I sent all my papers almost 9 months ago and heard nothing, Im getting really worried.

Soumis par Rob L le lun 29/06/2020 - 05:30

As much as I have to admit it, these comments actually made me feel a bit better. I submitted my PR application (through Express Entry) back in August 2019. IRCC reached out a few months ago for the first time since I submitted my biometrics for clarification on these critical items:
1.) How many hours per week I worked on 2 jobs
2.) Job descriptions on those jobs
Really? Really??? These are the things that are holding up the application for almost 10 months now? Unbelievable...

I really feel for those people who are separated from their spouses if they are having to deal with issues like these...

Hi everyone,

Very discouraging to read everyone's account, mine is no different: AOR in January 2018 for paper-based PNP from Alberta. Medical instructions sent on April 30th 2018. Learned a year later that my file was transferred from CIO Nova Scotia to IRCC Calgary office. Since then (august 2018) I have only received pre-arrival letter and request to update schedule A and employment letter. I am in my third bridging work permit renewal (third coming up in December 2020), I finally requested ATIP notes a few days ago, and even that looks like takes a long time. Depressed everyday, hearing people wait for years even decades on seemingly straight forward applications. My only hope is ATIP notes. Anyone paper-based in AB who have applied and received AOR around same time (January 2018) that have had any positive experience? Thanks, SSC

Soumis par Anonyme le mer 01/07/2020 - 05:57

ATIP notes means CAIPS notes(GCMS notes), nothing is in these notes, this is just money and time wastage , officer nothing added valuable comments in it.i applied number of times.

Question: I met the mim. CRS score requirement in May 2020. My application is active, but I have not received an ITA, yet.

Please advice how to go about getting an ITA generated given the COVID caused delays.

I applied under OINP on 11-July-2018, paper-based application within Canada. Number of months since the application was received 23 months. My files has been transfer among local offices a couple of times.

Soumis par Sunghee le Jeu 25/06/2020 - 10:55

Today, I heard a group of people I know whose AORs are in FEB, JAN have received their PPRs. Of course, they were CECs..
Since CBSA has lifted travel restrictions to the immediate familiy of PRs, I guess these people get to see their families. Good for them.
I don't understand why CIC is neglecting FSW inlanders and won't let us be PRs... We are working and residing in Canada paying same percentages of taxes. We miss our families and want to see them as soon as possible just like any others. I haven't seen my daughter for a year... I just can't. When will I be able to see her again? So depressed...

My husband is a Canadian PR holder and I am a UK citizen. He applied for an Outland Spouse PR for me (wife) and our application reached on April 14, 2020. We haven't heard anything and have not received any form of contact for application number etc. I fully appreciate the COVID pressures and impacts but i am getting increasingly concerned. Is there an indicative timescale on how much further do i have to wait? Thanks

Soumis par Anonyme le Jeu 25/06/2020 - 05:48

Delhi Canada Embassy is working for normal PR cases, if No, then when its open for normal cases. please confirm me

Hi I have submitted my PR application in July 2019, under express entry and with the BCPNP sponsorship, It's now been over 10 months and I haven't had one update since the update request on one of my documents in October last year. After emailing twice your services I only receive that useless generic reply saying my application is still in process and that everybody is doing their "best" to finalise the process asap........

Soumis par Stranger le mer 24/06/2020 - 15:37

I have applied for PR in Feb 2019 and after 17 months still no update on my application!!! I followed it up from everywhere but looks like it is in an infinite loop of security check forever!

Soumis par Mack le mar 23/06/2020 - 20:11

I have applied for OWP in January,2020 and didn't hear since. Today mark 5 month and few days since we have applied for OWP. Our OWP application has exceeded the time shown on IRCC's website processing timelines. It is sad to see IRCC has only processed about five or six since May 19, 2020. I understand the impact of COVID-19, but I doubt that it is the main reason that is slowing or reducing the processing capacity. Even if IRCC is functioning at lowered capacity, they could process many OWP's per a week. The slow processing is causing some anxiety and stress in us.So, please process our OWP's as fast as you can. Thank you.

Soumis par Pegs le mar 30/06/2020 - 19:34

Hi, I feel your pain! I submitted mine OWP early Jan this year but I received no response from IRCC. I am being very frustrated right now. And IRCC, we appreciate if you could process my application, and please reach out to me if further docs are required. thank you so much.

My husband is a Canadian PR and he applied for Outland Spouse PR for me his wife, and our application reached on March 23rd, 2020. We still haven't heard anything and have not received any form of contact for application number etc. IS THIS NORMAL? This is taking so long just to get application number

Soumis par Anonymous le lun 22/06/2020 - 19:31

I just want to say one thing, its everywhere Canada is all about family reunification but reality the spousal
sponsorship of Canada takes more time than other countries such as USA, Australia, UK. Express entry and worker candidates get priority but family reunification who cares. Please speed up the process. Some of us are dead inside

Soumis par Pratyush Sharma le dim 21/06/2020 - 20:40

I had submitted my application on 6th March 2019 (AOR) in Express Entry (FSW) (Outland) . My application is still in progress.

Soumis par KMB le dim 21/06/2020 - 20:36

Its beyond normal comprehension to see weekly updated on PR card processing time. The first update after March 26th 2020 near end of April 2020 almost after 1 month increased processing time from 27 days to 248 days. After a week it went down to 177 days then after a week 164 days and then following week 174 days and then after a week 299 days. How can this happen?
PR card renewal is quite important especially with most missions closed and families needing more than ever to be able to reach each other if needed.
PR card as well all know is essential document for travel and PRTD could be a solution only in normal times but Covid-19 era is very different.
IRCC may want to review priorities when it comes to processing renewal of PR card , after all First time PR card processing is 103 days still reasonable.
Alternatively PR cards expiring in 2020 shall get automatic 12 months extension from date of expiry which will lessen burden on IRCC to keep existing priorities and will provide relief to those who require renewal of PR card in 2020.

My EE PNP Outland application is past 9 months without a decision. We understand the COVID situation has slowed a lot of things down but IRCC can at least conclude most of the pending Outland application such that we are all rest assured that a decision has been made. Please kindly help us!!!

I had my medical done 7 months before gave Landing fee and had an email then file had been transferred to visa office still no updates up till now it’s really stressful .... I hope government look over this and try to give more priority on this because it’s really hard

Soumis par William le sam 20/06/2020 - 16:55

My application has been in process since Jan 2019. Still shows in process so I'm not worried. I became elligible for OHIP in Jan 2019 which was good because I now have serious health issues and would be in dire trouble without my OHIP. If you are elligible for PR you should be elligible for OHIP too. I started my application in 2017, this has been a very long road, but again if you are elligible then don't worry.

Soumis par Edward le sam 20/06/2020 - 15:17

We applied for Spousal sponsorship and went through the appeal process and had a positive decision. Our process is over 3yrs now. Seems Accra embassy is ignoring us. Can’t believe government has no regulation to check Officers to work within time.

Millions people depression due to Canada PR files, but Canada govt. not react on it . so what is the purpose of this page, if nobody work on it.why this page is created?

Really, if we pray to GOD then God listen definitely but last 10 years people demanding a result on our file , no body work on it.I think so Canada Govt. please work on old files, otherwise people move on other countries.

Hi i dont want to discourage any one in Alberta who is appling for PR. i applied for ainp in SEP 2017 and got it in AUG 2018. then i applied for PR on JAN 2019. IRCC says that 18 months for processing. IRCC asked me to update my medical on sep 2019 and submitted. i tried calling and use web forms but no use , ONLY SAYING THAT YOU NEEDS TO WAIT. hope this super delaying of processing will end soon.

Soumis par Sharma le Jeu 18/06/2020 - 16:50

She is currently in country (came in from Mexico in March) and wepatiently waiting. Phone calls to the IRCC still can't get past the computer system.

Soumis par anonymous le Jeu 18/06/2020 - 04:54

i am a canadian citizen and applied for pr application for my husband in april 2019. till date after the biometrics in may 2019; we do not habe any update. can someone tell me how long it is going to take? ; the situation is really getting out of hand.

Soumis par Anonyme le mer 17/06/2020 - 22:11

I feel for everyone in this situation. I don't want to discourage anyone, but I applied for spousal sponsorship in April 2018 and my wife still doesn't have her PR. Not having proper health coverage during this time is especially stressful and I've had to purchase private insurance. There must be a more efficient way to get these applications reviewed and processed. I hope everyone has their situation resolved soon and reunited with their loved ones. Good luck!
