Canada is a global leader in the use of Citizen Assemblies, Juries, and Panels, yet the federal government has never convened one. Gathering a representative group of citizens to study an issue and offer public recommendations on behalf of all Canadians is a powerful way to balance online and regional engagement undertaken by the federal government.
