Together with the Open Government Partnership (OGP), the Government of Canada hosted the 6th Open Government Partnership Global Summit in Ottawa, Canada, from May 29-31st, 2019.

The Summit welcomed over 2000 participants from 115 countries. It brought together participants from the 79 member countries and 20 local governments of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), local and regional governments, civil society groups, academia, and beyond. Our goal was to share knowledge and together create solutions for more open and transparent governments around the globe.

As the lead government chair of the Open Government Partnership for 2018-2019, the Government of Canada committed to work on open government priorities that we shared with our civil society co-chair, Nathaniel Heller. Our priorities for 2018-2019 were: Inclusion, Participation and Impact.
