Evaluation of the Canadian Space Agency Sun-Earth System Science Business Line This report presents the findings of the evaluation of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA)' Sun-Earth Science Business Line (SESS-BL). The SESS-BL's fundamental purpose is to support Canada's contribution to the advancement of the scientific knowledge concerning the Sun-Earth system, and the application of this scientific knowledge in a range of policy areas such as weather forecasting, environmental monitoring, climate change, natural disaster management and mitigation, and the protection of private and public infrastructures in space and on Earth. The evaluation covers a five-year period, from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2017, and examines the SESS-BL's relevance and performance. The evaluation was conducted by PRA Inc., on behalf of the CSA's Audit and Evaluation Directorate, between September 2017 and September 2018.
