I am trying to find out my projected income at age 65. I called 1-800-277-9914 #1 ... recording said volume of calls was large and to call back later... I still can't get through. I also am trying to find out what my Commuted Value or Projected income at retirement will be as I was a resident for 34 years in Montreal, PQ Can you please tell me where I can get above info from? Thank you in advance.
Hello, This comment system leads to the team responsible for transparency and accountability work in the public service. We host datasets and records about many things, including historic statistics on CPP but we do not deal with it directly. My best recommendation would be to use the retirement income calculator: https://srv111.services.gc.ca/GeneralInformation/Index or keep trying to get in touch with the team responsible for this service. Sorry we could not be of more help. Open Government Team
Can someone tell me how to change my address with OAS. Can someone tell me what their telephone number is.? this is frustrating!!!!
Hi Ali, sorry that you were not able to find the information you are looking for. Please visit here for a contact: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/contact/oas.html Momin, the Open Government team.
The most horrendous exercise to find a Telephone Number to check on my Pension Application. Everytime I click on something to get an OAS Telephone number, it takes me to a whole slew of useless info. Can you not just Put a Number to Call to Inquire about your OAS? Try it for yourself and see.
Hi Joe, This comment system leads to the team responsible for transparency and accountability work in the public service. We host datasets and records about many things, but we do not hold any information about personal OAS applications. I recommend you contact Employment and Social Development Canada directly, their information can be found here: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/contact/oas.html I hope this helps. Momin, Open Government team.

just started receiving OAS for Survivors and would like to know if there is some type of drug plan that I am entitled to ?
Peggy, I think the best thing to do is to contact Service Canada directly, through the Old Age Security Program. Have a look here for all of the contact details: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/contact/oas.html Best wishes! Karin open-ouvert team

We are directed to this webpage to find out about new benefits and all we get is a link to another page, what a waste of time and effort both in building this page and for attempting to find out the new benefits that could have been done with one simple click....whoever built these new webpages for the government did one heck of a bad job, the old pages were much better in moving around and in locating information, also we could calculate amounts we expect to be receiving...I still have to find that on any of these webpages.
Hi Judy, Sorry for the confusion. These pages are datasets and as you pointed out not always user friendly, they are made available as part of the open government program. I believe the information you seek can be found at this link http://www.esdc.gc.ca/en/pension/oas/index.page Hope this helps, Thom, for the Open Government Team
How do I find out when my old age pension and benefits start. I will be 65 on may31st.this year and I completed my application 3 month after my 64th. Birthday.please and thank you
Hi, I'd start here: http://www.esdc.gc.ca/en/cpp/oas/index.page?_ga=1.146135156.1396968398.1458591469 or 1-800-OCanada. This comment form leads to the team responsible for publishing government data, but there'll be contact information in the above that can help.
I am trying to determine the indexing percentage used to calculate the increase to pensions that I am currently receiving. Where can I find this information? Obviously it is not easy to find. That's is why I give this site a rating of piss poor. Dan
Thanks for your question, Dan. I think the information you're looking for can be found here: http://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/remuneration-compensation/services-pension-services/pension/explanation-index-eng.html Hope this helps, The Open-ouvert team.
